US and EU Best practices

This infographic highlights some of the main United States (US) and European Union (EU) policy initiatives that were presented in a five-part ‘US-EU Exchange’ transatlantic organised through the ‘Strategic Partnerships for the Implementation of the Paris Agreement’ (SPIPA) project. The transatlantic exchange, which ran from June 2021 to January 2022, covered five main topics related to renovation of buildings and clean-energy solutions: (i) advancing a climate-neutral recovery, (ii) affordable housing, (iii) job creation, (iv) financing, and (v) building standards and codes. The following excerpts are meant to be instructive in a comparative sense and do not represent the full landscape of policy initiatives currently underway in either the US or the EU.
